Disney Summer Classics: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company with a true milestone work, not only for the company, but for film history. A timeless fairytale about a princess, an evil queen, cute woodland creatures, a septet of aptly-named diminutive miners, it was originally dubbed "Disney's Folly," as no one had ever before attempted making a feature length cel animation film. Risking it all, and even mortgaging his house, to finish the film, Disney's vision and the painstaking work of 570 artists culminated in a peak moment of American imagination that helped establish animation as an art form and laid the foundation for a style that endures today. Even the grumpiest among us will be dazzle by its brilliant colors, delightful songs, and unforgettable characters.
Tickets for the film are $5 for SCAD Card holders, students, seniors, and military, and $8 for the general public. Children ages 12 and under receive free admission.
