16-17 Sav Phil: Musique de France

16-17 Sav Phil: Musique de France
Hector Berlioz - Le carnival romain (Roman Carnival)
Claude Debussy - L'apres midi d'un faune
Francis Poulenc - Concerto for Two Pianos in D minor; Alon Goldstein, piano & Quynh Shannon, piano
Maurice Ravel - Rhapsodie espagnole
Maurice Ravel - Bolero

The French have given the world some of the lushest and most beautiful classical music of all time and on this evening we pay them homage. With opulent works by Berlioz, Debussy, and Ravel, this performance will enrapture the mind and ensnare the imagination. Internationally celebrated pianist Alon Goldstein joins the Savannah Philharmonic’s own Quynh Shannon and the orchestra to perform Poulenc’s witty and melodic Concerto for 2 pianos in D minor.
