Christopher Hope Presents “My Son the Fiddler”

Christopher Hope Presents “My Son the Fiddler”
How do a writer and a musician survive in the same family? Conceived as an essay and delivered via a series for BBC Radio 3, author Christopher Hope recalls raising his son Daniel Hope. He discusses Daniel's early days as a violin student, learning to play on a quarter-size instrument, his time spent as a boarder at the Yehudi Menuhin School, the importance of the Russian composer Alfred Schnittke in Daniel's life, Daniel's work as part of the Beaux Arts Trio and on various other projects. Recitation by Christopher Hope will be mixed with solo performances by Daniel Hope.
