A master fiddler, country singer and guitarist, Courtney Granger hails from the Balfa family lineage, which is evident in his powerful vocals and heavily Balfa-influenced fiddle style. Though Granger has been playing and touring full-time with Cajun bands the Pine Leaf Boys and Balfa Toujours over the past decade, he has always had a deep affinity for and knowledge of classic country music. In this midday set, Granger is joined by a variety of musicians from southwest Louisiana to perform the classic country music of George Jones, Bill Anderson, Hank Cochran, Hazel Dickens and others.
