Four virtuoso guitarists with diverse backgrounds share this only-in-Savannah double bill. Though they will perform in separate duos, both Julian Lage and Frank Vignola have held the guitar post in Mark O’Connor’s “Hot Swing” Trio at different times—and each put their stamp on the music. Julian Lage is joined by Punch Brothers guitarist Chris Eldridge for the Savannah debut of their new acoustic duo project. The majesty of the acoustic dreadnought guitar is uplifted by this collaboration, with each player equally keyed into the instrument’s sustain, dynamic range and depth of tone. The other half of the performance is a set of music performed by Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo.
