When Harry Met Sally... is a romantic comedy written by the late Nora Ephron and directed by Rob Reiner. The story follows the title characters from the time they meet, just before sharing a cross-country drive, through a series of chance encounters in New York City. The film questions whether men and women can ever "just be friends" and poses many ideas about relationships that became household phrases, such as those of the "high-maintenance" girlfriend and the "transitional person". It stars Billy Crystal, Meg Ryan and Carrie Fisher.
