Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires
Inspired by a 1962 James Brown show at the Apollo Theater when he was just 14 years of age, R&B/soul singer Charles Bradley became bound and determined to spend his time performing the emotive soul and funk of the 1960s and 70s. At age 64, the dream of his youth has been fully realized as he plays to sold-out concerts and festivals across the globe. Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires are now one of Daptone Records’ signature acts, a recording label that is also responsible for SMF’s 2011 opening night sensation, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings. This is 21st century soul music at its finest.
