The Writers Guild of America talks shop with Jason Reitman, the writer, producer and director of The Front Runner. Reitman made his feature film directorial debut with Thank You for Smoking, which he also wrote. The 2009 film Up in the Air, which he wrote, directed and produced, earned him Academy Award nominations for Best Writing, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director and Best Picture. The screenplay won a Golden Globe, Writers Guild of America Award and BAFTA Award. Reitman also directed Juno and produced Whiplash, both of which received multiple Oscar nods.
