Mountainfilm on Tour Savannah
In its seventh year Mountainfilm On Tour continues to bring Savannah audiences cinematographic masterpieces of socially conscious films, jaw-dropping adventure, environmental awareness and inspiring human stories that all celebrate man’s indomitable human spirit.

The festival kicks off with critically acclaimed Racing Extinction by academy award-winning director Louie Psihoyos (The Cove). In this James Bond-esque adventure, Psihoyos and his team uncover the black market trade of endangered wildlife.

Giant projected images of endangered indigenous wildlife will be projected onto the SCAD Jen Library at dusk preceding the 7:00 p.m. film.

The festival continues on Friday and Saturday with over 30 short films, and a family matinee is scheduled for Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Wednesday, January 20, Dusk – Projected images on SCAD Jen Library and electric car show

7:00 p.m. – Kick-off event Racing Extinction

Friday, January 22, 7:00 p.m. Opening night

Saturday, January 23, 2:00 p.m. Family Matinee – free Leopold’s Ice Cream to ticket-holders 12 and under
